Car polish and wax are used to protect the paintwork of a car and give it a shiny finish. Car polish is designed to remove small scratches and blemishes from the surface of the car, while car wax is applied on top of the polish to provide a protective layer against the elements, such as UV rays, acid rain, and bird droppings. Car polish is usually a liquid or paste that is applied with a soft cloth or applicator pad and then buffed with a microfiber towel to leave a high-gloss finish. Car wax can be made from natural carnauba wax or synthetic polymers, and is applied in a thin layer with a foam applicator pad and then buffed off with a clean microfiber towel. There are also hybrid products that combine both car polish and wax in one formula, making it easier to apply both products at once. Regular use of car polish and wax can help maintain the appearance and resale value of a car.
