Splitters and canards are aerodynamic parts used to improve the handling and stability of a vehicle by increasing downforce on the front and rear of the car. Splitters are flat panels that mount to the underside of the front bumper and direct air over and around the vehicle, reducing lift and improving high-speed stability. Canards are small, wing-like structures that attach to the front bumper and generate additional downforce to the front wheels, improving grip and steering response. Both splitters and canards are popular modifications in the world of motorsports and are often used on race cars and high-performance street cars.
